The Cuban baseball player Danger Rafael Almost, from Guantánamo, left the country and is already in the Dominican Republic, where he will try to sign with a Major League organization.

As reported by journalist Francys Romero in his web, the young 23-year-old outfielder left Cuba over the weekend.

He almost made up several Cuban team preselections in the U-23 categories.

In the 62nd National Series he hit six doubles, two triples and 17 RBI with the Guantanamo team.

Previously, in the U-23 National Championship, he was the leader of all hitters in average, extra-base hits and doubles.

Despite his results, he was not included by the National Commission in the team that attended the Pan American U-23 Championship that took place in November in Nicaragua.

On that occasion, his father, Rafael Casi, publicly complained about the decision of the sports authorities in a text shared on his Facebook.

"This is the father of the player Danger Rafael Casi, from the Guantánamo province. I am outraged with the National Commission and with everyone who has had to do with the last three U-23 teams that have come out in these three years, since my son has been in the last three preselections and has never made a team," he questioned.

Rafael then detailed that in the U-23 National Championship his son was the leader in undisputed and reached second place in batting average with .408.

"What is the goal of this? For the player to leave the country. Well, they are not going to achieve it. I hold the National Baseball Commissioner and the head of the category Yosvani Aragón responsible for this injustice," concluded the player's indignant father. in words that were prophetic.
