Candyman: "If you go to the past and kill me, there is no history of reggaeton in Cuba"

Do you agree with what Candyman said about his role in the history of Cuban reggaeton?


The Cuban urban music singerCandyman has given an interview to the youtuber's podcastDestiny in which he spoke about his career within the world of the urban genre.

One of the topics that the artist touched on was the role he played in the beginnings of the urban movement in Cuba, since he considers himself the founder of reggaeton on the island and assures that without it there is no story to tell about the urban genre.

"If you travel to the past and you kill me, like they do in the movies, there is no history of reggaeton, it is something else", Candyman commented during their conversation.

"You kill me over there and Chocolate is not born and El Taiger is a kitten"Candyman added, making his position clear that he is the creator of reggaeton in Cuba and that without him urban singers like Chocolate MC or El Taiger would not exist today.
