Florida man wins a million dollars with Lottery scratch-off

Orlando resident David Nguyen decided to receive his winnings as a lump sum payment of $820,000.

An Orange County man won $1 million in the Florida Lottery with a scratch-off from the 500X THE CASH game.

The Florida Lottery announced this Friday thatDavid Nguyen, a resident of Orlando, claimed a prize of one million at the Lottery District Office of what is known as the theme park capital of the world.

According toinformation, the lucky guy chose to receive his winnings as a one-time payment of $880,000.

Nguyen purchased the winning ticket at a Publix located at 10250 Curry Ford Road in Orlando. The retailer will receive an additional $2,000 commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The 500X The Cash game costs $50 and offers a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered in a Florida scratch-off game. The total odds of winning are 1 in 4.50.

Last year several Florida residents were lucky after purchasing a 500X THE CASH scratch-off.

In early July, two men, one from the city of Dunnellon (Marion County) and another from Jacksonville (Duval),They made a million dollars each from this game.

Both asked to receive a single, lump sum payment.

A few days before68-year-old man, also from Jacksonville, won $1 million with a lottery scratch-off. The man purchased his winning ticket at a J and J grocery store.

In June, aPalm Beach man wins $1 million from scratch-off that he bought at Winn Dixie. John Freudberg, a resident of the town of Jupiter, elected to receive his winnings as a lump sum payment of $820,000.
