Cuban has been missing for more than two months and her family rules out leaving the country

Relatives ofKarildi Marín, a Cuban whose whereabouts are unknown in Havana since December 14, ruled out that the young woman had left the country and asked for the help of the population to find her.

"It has been 67 days since my Sister disappeared and there is no news yet...She did not leave the country because her passport is at home.. Please help me find his whereabouts... If you know anything, call me," his brother Yoandri Marín posted on Facebook.

A few weeks ago the brother said he felt very disappointed in the work of the police and that his father was filing a complaint in the Plaza de la Revolución for the poor performance of the police in the case.

Karildi Marín is just 24 years old and is the mother of a little girl. She has been reported missing since Thursday, December 14, when she went to a party in the Cerro municipality, in Havana, and never returned home. It was later learned that the party to which she was invited never took place. The woman did not have a telephone.

In itsdespair, the family even contemplated the possibility that Karildi – who resides in Párraga, Arroyo Naranjo municipality – had left the country; but the brother confirmed today that his passport is at home.

Some netizens suggested that perhaps he left on a raft, but the family has no evidence to suggest such an option.

The young woman's brother reported that they even received a phone call with a ransom request from Mexico, but then they concluded that it was an attempted "scam."

On several occasions since the announcement of the disappearance, Yoandri Marín has reiterated that the family will not give up in its efforts to search for the young woman and they have even speculated about the possibility that Karildi iskidnapped by someone against her will.

Internet users close to the young woman claim that the mood of Marín's mother, father and siblings is bad, they are depressed and desperate, they said.

In the first days after her disappearance was reported, Yoandri Marín claimed to have received reports that her sister had allegedly been seen on more than one occasion in different areas of the Cerro municipality – through La Lechera or Esquina de Tejas – something that It baffled several Internet users, who questioned whether it was a voluntary disappearance.

In another of his publications, the young man asked for help from the drivers who since December 14 have been able to transport the young Karildi Marín somewhere.

Reports of Cubans missing are becoming more frequent in recent months, as well as the publication of requests for help through social networks to obtain information, in the midst of a context of growing violence in the country.
