A warehouse at the renowned Melia Cohiba hotel caught fire this Tuesday in Havana, according to videos sent toCyberCuba.

Images show firefighters at the scene after a fire was reported in the building.

However, other details of the incident are unknown.

Cuban tweeter Juan Juan (@juanjuanalmeida) posted X images but did not offer details either.

Some of his followers mentioned a recent fire at another hotel, El Capri, also located in thecuban capital.

Others, more suspicious, stated thatthe fact It was premeditated, as part of a strategy to cover up alleged missing items at the hotel.

"Some call it a fire, others call it a resolved shortage," "To cover up the theft, the fire consumed the shortage," they said.

These complaints arise amid the deterioration of citizen trust in Cuba, a country immersed in a deep crisis and where the Minister of Economy, Alejandro Gil, was dismissed at the end of February and is now being investigated for corruption.
