The young influencerMarlon Hernandez made an emotional video that reflects some of the anguish suffered by mothers in Cuba, whenThe country is going through one of the biggest economic crises in its history, which damages the daily lives of families.
In just a minute and a half, the video published onTikTok shows the sadness that triggers the moment when a daughter asks her mother for a sweet “to eat now,” and she answers that there is nothing.
Paula, that is the girl's name, then demands: “There is never anything in this house!”, a common situation in thousands of homes in the country.
At that moment, the parent makes a reflection that becomes an x-ray of the feelings of mothers in Cuba when they fail to satisfy the needs of their children.
“We live in a country where everything is an excuse. And Cuban mothers are so tired of that, of having to say 'I don't have anything to give to my son', 'his shoes broke from going to school'. Look at your brother, he no longer has socks. You are almost without a jacket. And me?, and at the same time, always with the same battica,” says the woman.
The woman responds to her daughter that they live in a country that has taught them to subsist on misery: “I am sure that there are so many mothers right now who want to give their child a sweet, who want to say 'I don't have to.' worry about tomorrow's school snack'. ButWe live in a country where some have, and where the majority lacks.”
Referring to the sad reality that is currently being experienced in the country, she exclaimed: “We Cuban mothers are already tired, Paula,the Cuban is tired. And no, there is nothing, we have nothing.”
