Heavy damage is reported this Saturday after the strong storms that occurred on Friday afternoon in Havana and other western provinces.
In the capital, theFirst information indicates 26 total collapses.
At this moment there are 148 people protected in state centers and another 762 people self-evacuated at the homes of family and friends.
No deaths or injuries reported.
Regarding the energy situation, 78 electrical circuits were affected, of which 36 already have service. There are 60 megawatts turned off, which represents 120 thousand affected customers.
The greatest damage is in the municipalities of Boyeros, Diez de Octubre, Cotorro, San Miguel, Arroyo Naranjo, La Lisa and Cerro.
The authorities announced that20 brigades from five provinces will travel to the province to work on electrical recovery.
There are also impacts on the service in Mayabeque, Artemisa and Matanzas.
In Havana there were places whereMore than 300 millimeters of water fell in 24 hours, which caused flooding. Nine bus terminals were flooded.
For its part, the communications company ETECSA recalled the importance of disconnecting telephone and data transmission equipment during bad weather, and shared the ways to report any difficulties in the service.

The journalist Lázaro Manuel Alonsoreported that in San Nicolás, Mayabeque, the severe local storm caused damage to homes, institutions and power lines.
In Pinar del Río, the main damage was recorded in the municipality of Los Palacios, where the photovoltaic park and the selected V-8 of the Paso Real de San Diego suffered the blows of the strong winds of the storm.
The provincial Meteorological Center reported hail falls in that area, as well as at the Los Palacios junction and in the main town.
