On the afternoon of Saturday, March 23, the Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel received the president of the Investment Authority of Oman, belonging to the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Sultanate of that country, Abdulsalam M. Abdullah Al-Murshidi, which has unleashed a wave of comments among Internet users who, among other things, have wondered What are these businessmen looking for on the island?

As detailed by the Cuban Presidency in a tweet, "during the meeting, held at the Palace of the Revolution, the president stated that this visit will find new areas to expand bilateral commercial and economic collaboration."

Likewise, they assured that the visitor expressed that "despite the geographical distance we are united by the same values and principles," while conveying a greeting from the Sultan of that country on the Arabian Peninsula.

However, the most interesting thing about the publication has been the comments expressed by several Cubans about the meeting.

“A lot of courtesy to start sucking on the Arabs' breast,” said one user, in clear reference to the Cuban government's reputation for being beggars.

Another person stated that “no one is going to waste their money in Cuba, and even less so with the Communist Party, which uses tricks to keep the businesses.”

Regarding the treatment given to the visitor, there was one person who said that “they call terrorists extremely excellent,” and to the Cuban government he clarified that “no country gives you that category of excellent, because they know that you are incompetent and opportunistic.” .

A user filled his comment with questions about the background of this visit by the high representative of Oman to Cuba. "Hotels? More gasoline for the regime, nothing for the Cuban people? Or are they going to make a donation to the dying communist regime? How is it small? What are they looking for on the island, because Habanos are not "They are?" he questioned.

According to the Presidency of Cuba itself, the Island and Oman will celebrate, in May, 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
