Alexis Castro Soto del Valle, the eldest of the five children of the late dictator Fidel Castro with Dalia Soto del Valle, stated that the revolution does not mean "immovable structures and methods."

In a post on Twitter, Alexis drew on his father's principles and cited the Moncada program, where according to him, there is "everything we must change" in the country, so that "no one loses and we all win."

"At this moment it is more necessary than ever to be clear about the meaning of Revolution, which are not structures or immovable methods adopted by historical conditions, but rather an emancipatory fact that was born with defined objectives," he said.

"If we go to the origins and goals of the Revolution in 1953, in the Moncada Program and the Sierra Manifesto, there we will find everything that we must update and change for the supreme good of the nation, without anyone losing and everyone let's win," he added.

Alexis has never been a visible figure in the Cuban media. It is only known that he was born in 1962 and that he is a telecommunications engineer.

In August 2023, he opened a Twitter account, where he defines himself as a "patriotic Cuban" who follows the ideology of Varela, Martí and July 26, and in which he has been quite active.

In October, attacked the Ministry of Agriculture and its centralized management, accusing him of food shortages in the country.

"Concepts such as the sense of ownership, the necessary autonomy to invest, associate, produce and market, the formation of prices, which should not be mandated..." are not understood, he said.

He did not stop there and deepened his analysis, ensuring that "nor is the role of each form of ownership and management in agriculture fully understood, from the state to the private peasant, passing through the various cooperative forms, each one has its place and function," he added.
