Cubana affirms in front of Díaz-Canel that there is food in Baracoa

"We have food, so we have to work for it and not ask so much from the country," said the woman.

An excited Cuban woman gave a warm welcome to President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday in Guantánamo, whom she assured that in Baracoa, one of the most impoverished municipalities on the island, "there is food."

"This is not the time to get confused, this is the time to move forward, this municipality is one of battle. We have history material here, We have food, we have to work for it and not ask so much from the country, and give to the country then, this is a municipality that can be counted on", he claimed the revolutionary fiery, taking away from the regime the responsibility for the food shortage suffered by the population.

The president himself tried to appease her by putting his hand on her head and beginning a speech thanking the people of Baracoa for the welcome.

"I want to thank you, first, for basking in the sun with how hot it is."said Díaz-Canel; but the woman interrupted him again: "This is good, the sun is the best there is".

After the intervention of the ruler, who on the day called "lazy" to the residents of Baracoa, the woman finished: "Machete, they are not enough, whoever comes we are going to give a machete".

During the visit to the city of Baracoa, in the province of Guantanamo, the ruler called for voluntary work, as a way to increase food production and reduce food prices, while calling the people "lazy."

A video circulates on social networks where Díaz-Canel is seen justifying the inflation of food prices with the lack of production: "Until we produce the food we need, prices will not drop."

The statements of angry Cuban women during the president's visits to the most remote towns in the country have gone viral in recent months, as many Cubans do not believe in the defense of the regime in the midst of the generalized crisis on the island.

A few weeks ago the phrase went viral "I get a hedgehog", spoken by a woman from Río Cauto who said, after Díaz-Canel's visit to Granma, that she "got bristled when she saw him" because it was like seeing "God Fidel."
