Most of the journalist's followers expressed their gratitude for the couple's kindness in rescuing the injured dog.

However, one of them took the opportunity of the publication to denounce the fate that some dogs allegedly face in the eastern city.

Recently, in Santiago de Cuba, a family offered a reward of between 15,000 and 30,000 pesos for anyone who returned or provided information about a lost Rottweiler.

The Facebook user identified as "La Leona Negr" reported that the animal went missing or was stolen when it was outside for about 10 to 15 minutes to relieve itself, as it does every day, and its owners were expecting it to come back inside.

Another pet owner, this time in Havana, offered a reward to locate his little dog, a beagle named Mustang.

The owner of the dog -identified on Facebook as Hildy Vldes- stated that her pet ran away towards 100th Street, in the municipality of Marianao.
