Cuban actor Ulyk Anello: "I left my place of comfort"

“Everything that I have experienced until today, the only inspiration that remains is faith, truth, humility, simplicity. I think those are the things that move me every day,” Anello said in a kind of summary of his experiences.

To these words, the actor added another reason that moves him today. “I left my place of comfort with a goal and I'm going to fulfill it. “I am working to fulfill it,” he added.

His promise is recorded in a short video, where he also had words to highlight his three children, which he described as “wonderful.”

“I have three wonderful children: Isabella, Mauro and Mariana. Proud of the three and this is how I will die,” he noted.

Likewise, he declared his fanaticism for tools, while dedicating words to a pet of his heart, a Labrador dog named Fátima.

Anello arrived in Miami in October 2022. At 54 years old, he faces, like thousands of Cubans, a new language, jobs he had not done before and is forced to reinvent himself as a professional to achieve his dreams and help his family.

The precarious situation in the country and its political stance against the regimeled him to make the decision to leave Cuba to give their children a better future.

In September 2022, Anello made a live broadcast on Facebook which generated a lot of debate on social networks. "I would have loved for this country to work but I can't give it any more," he said and began a harsh speech against the government of Miguel Díaz-Canel.

She said that when she woke up that day she discovered that the food she had for her children had been damaged due to a blackout. He became blinded and could no longer stand in silence.

A few days after his viral video,The Cuban official press attacked the actor and made public some of his photographs. in a line at Havana's "José Martí" International Airport to board a flight to Cancun, Mexico.

That day something definitely broke in him and he decided that he had to leave Cuba. He still dreams that one day he will be able to return and perform for the Cubans.
