The Cuban singer Yeny Valdes has turned to social networks to honor the memory of the Cuban musician Juan Formell when 10 years have passed since his death.

The artist has shared some beautiful words on her Facebook wall in which she fondly remembers the former director of Los Van Van and thanks him for all the support and trust he placed in her as a professional while she was part of the famous orchestra of popular dance music.

"Juanjo, tomorrow you celebrate 10 years in the world of truth. I promised not to mention certain topics publicly anymore, therefore, this is also a formal farewell. Formell, thank you. I loved you and honored your work. Your bet was good. And Even if my mouth never mentions your name again, in my heart you will be my creed. Thank you., wrote Yeny Valdés along with a photograph in which she appears sitting next to the musician.

These words come just a few days after Yeny Valdés shared a video on her Facebook account in which she clarified some of the latest statements made about her by Samuel Formell, son of Juan Formell and current director of Los Van Van, during an interview he offered in Peru.

Juan Formell died on May 1, 2014 at 71 years of age. After his departure, Los Van Van continued their successful career under the direction of their son Samuel and with the vocal accompaniment of their daughter Vanessa, who joined the group in 2017 after the departure of Yeny Valdés.
