The dispute over the best spot to sell plastic bags triggered a heated argument between two women on one of the most central and busy streets of Santiago de Cuba this Sunday, leading bystanders to step in and separate them.
The street fight took place in Las Enramadas and could have been influenced by mental health factors, according to the communicator Yosmany Mayeta in the video posted on Facebook.

"The 'cubal saleswomen' were separated by passersby, since the bakery workers did nothing to separate them," said the independent journalist who pointed out that the scene occurred just a few meters from Plaza de Marte, and near the provincial headquarters of the Communist Party of Cuba, areas closely monitored by the police.
However, apparently these fights in the bakery over the best spot to sell plastic bags are common, noted Mayeta, who explained that it is the first time they have been sent a recording made at this location.
Finally, he reiterated a detail that caught his attention: the absence of law enforcement in a place that is usually well guarded due to its proximity to different locations, including the communist headquarters in the city.
Although the argument between both women did not end in tragedy, last April, also in Santiago de Cuba, a street fight on the famous Trocha street left one person seriously injured who had to be taken to a hospital.
A video shared by Mayeta recorded a moment of the apparently tumultuous fight, in which a young man was seriously injured by stabbing.
