Aid continues to arrive for Virgen María, the Cuban mother who was evicted with her two young daughters from the rented home in Miami after losing her job.
The TikToker Dairon Cano, who shared the case on his account to ask for help from his followers, has continued to share new videos, but these show the solidarity response that the Cuban community in exile has given to this woman.
Dairon published the visit made to the young woman by a group of elderly ladies, some with mobility issues, who brought her food from the Baby Boomers Adult Day Care Center.
"We have come from far away to help her, we hope for the support of the people in Hialeah to give their contribution," said an elderly woman who identified herself as La Mariposa.
The veterans gathered with Virgin Mary in her room at the Chesapeake Motel in Hialeah and gave her a postcard signed by all the elderly residents who contributed to the donation, along with a poem dedicated to her, which the young woman read with emotion.
"Don't cry, you have to be strong," said The Butterfly.
Since the case of this mother became known, several Cubans have shown their support, both monetarily and with bags of food and supplies.
The Cuban mother who was facing eviction with her two daughters in Miami thanked the help of dozens of people from that city who came to her rescue.
The young woman was thrilled after being helped to resolve her situation, following the loss of her rent and job.
"Thank you very much for your support, for everything you are doing for me and my daughters, I have no words to thank you for everything you are doing," she expressed last week.
On May 11, this mother of two young daughters turned to TikTok to share her story.
The woman then said that she worked as an Uber driver, but in April her car was hit, and since then she has not been able to return to work because the insurance company has not repaired the car.
I cannot pay the rent. I spoke with the landlord, I said to him: 'Look, sir, I have always been good with you, on time and in the right way. This is the first time I haven't paid you. I am only four days behind on the rent,' detailed.
Between tears, she showed the eviction notice requested by the homeowner against her, for just four days, and claimed that she could show the payment receipts demonstrating her seriousness when it comes to paying her rent.
"I don't feel ashamed to ask for their help because I truly need it; I would feel ashamed to steal," she said, crying.
