Cuban newcomer to the United States: "The smell of yuma does not exist"

Of course, the people who used to come to Cuba I saw them as white, and here I see them as normal.

Cuban men and women continue to join the popular TikTok challenge "I am Cuban", revealing the customs they identify with. A challenge that a Cuban woman who had recently arrived from the island adapted to reveal what has surprised her the most upon arriving in the United States.

The protagonist of the video is Lisandra (whose username is @lis_blonde), who has just arrived in the United States. During this time, she has been surprised by several things, such as the misconception she had about how people dressed in the streets.

He also pointed out that the people arriving from the United States to Cuba used to look paler to him, but now he sees them as normal.

"I am a Cuban who has recently arrived in the United States, and of course, the 'yuma scent' does not exist or is not felt. Of course, the people who came to Cuba seemed white to me, and here I see them as normal. Of course, you come across all sorts of people looking disheveled and with a bad appearance. The thing is that on social media, people from Cuba look like princesses from a fairy tale. Of course, I don't have a job," this Cuban comments in the video.
