A voracious fire at a home in Matanzas leaves one person injured.

A voracious fire that occurred Tuesday night in a home in Matanzas caused injuries to a resident.

According to a report by the Telebandera telecenter on their Facebook profile, the incident occurred after 10:00 pm in a house located on Línea Avenue, between Coronel Verdugo and Industria.

As a result of the incident, one person suffered injuries and was immediately taken to the Julio Aristegui Villamil General Teaching Hospital, where their health status is being evaluated," the note specifies.

The property also suffered material damages.

The information details that forces from the Fire Department Command, the Ministry of the Interior, Public Health, and the main authorities of the municipality attended the site.

Thanks to the action of the specialists and the collaboration of the neighbors, the incident was extinguished without spreading to other homes.

"Up to this point, the causes that caused the fire are being investigated," the post adds.
