Xavier Mili from Miami: Pedrito from "The Kite Flyers" four decades later.

The actor is participating from Miami in one of the episodes of the series "Tú Decides" from PRONYR TV.

Four decades have passed since Xavier Mili played the role of Pedrito in the Cuban adventures "Los Papaloteros," a character that would leave a mark on his life and on the childhood of thousands of children who grew up enjoying this drama series.

In Miami, where he has resided since 2006, he has developed his artistic career between his two great passions: acting and music. So much so that he defines himself on his social media as a singer, actor, and composer.

Recently he appeared in one of the episodes of the series Tú Decides from PRONYR TV, but before that let's take a look at the career of this artist.

"The Kite Flyers": A series not to be forgotten

Transmitted in the 80s and with several subsequent reruns, "Los Papaloteros" is one of the most well-known and popular adventures of Cuban television. The story, set in 1958 during the time of Fulgencio Batista in power, follows the friendship between Juanito “Caimancito” (Ariel Fundora), Pedrito (Xavier Mili), and Cutú Cutú (Etiane Alfonso), who initially was their counterpart. The three children sold kites to make a living but end up getting involved in the clandestine struggle that was taking place during those years against the tyranny.

Impossible for many Cubans to forget that Pedro, whose bravado and courage ran through his veins, surpassing by far his size, with an extremely noble heart capable of doing anything for his friends.

After rising to fame in Cuba with this character, Xavier Mili studied percussion and had various roles in theater, children's programs like "Dando vueltas" and "Pocholo y su pandilla," and in the soap opera "Pasión y prejuicio" until he decided to emigrate to Europe in the 90s to reunite with his family and pursue his career in music.

Career in Miami: Between acting and music.

In 2006, Xavier establishes himself permanently in the United States and initially had the opportunity to continue working in acting with characters for Telemundo soap operas such as "El Rostro de la Venganza" and "Una Maid en Manhattan."

However, it has been in music where he has achieved the most success, alongside the group Tiempo Libre, a band that plays Afro-Caribbean music blending jazz and Latin rhythms. He has been nominated three times for the Grammy Awards with them, twice for Best Tropical Latin Album and once for Best Salsa/Merengue Album.

In Miami, Mili has also formed a beautiful family with her partner and her children, two boys who greatly resemble their dad and who remind us of Pedrito from "Los Papaloteros."

PRONYR TV: An opportunity to return to acting.

Just a week ago, PRONYR TV premiered "La jefa se alborota," the third episode of the interactive series Tú Decides, in which Xavier Mili participates.

In this chapter, the actor plays Vitico, the typical employee of a company who is attentive to everything, trying to win the favor of the boss and who occasionally makes a mistake, as they say in good Cuban slang.

However, Vitico runs into a stroke of luck and will become the right-hand man of his boss to uncover the secrets of other workers, one of them being Ignacio, played by Ebblis Mai Valdivia (El Boni).

Without a doubt, this chapter is the perfect opportunity to see Xavier Mili on stage again, you just have to subscribe to the PRONYR TV platform and get ready to enjoy excellent series with the best Cuban talent.
