The Cuban showbiz scene is on fire on social media after the clash between El Taiger and Ja Rulay during an event in Varadero, but the controversy is far from over as the more veteran artist has spoken out about it on Instagram.
"Did you see me running?" El Taiger asked between laughs in a live stream, while pointing at his belly, implying that his weight doesn't allow him to run away from a fight.
In a more serious tone, the reggaeton artist demanded that the correct version of what happened be given: "Everyone saw that people put their hand on me here, held me back, tremendous atmosphere (...) I had more courage to hold back than to let go."
"When something else happens tomorrow, I don't want people to come and say, 'Damn, José Manuel, you should have avoided this, damn, José Manuel, this shouldn't have reached that point.' I am not God, nor am I the one who determines what is right or wrong," added the singer.
Addressing Ja Rulay, he added insinuating that it was this person who provoked the confrontation between them: "If you sang yesterday, you didn't have to do anything at today's concert."
In the images circulating on social media, we can see the moment when Ja Rulay, along with a group of people, tries to confront El Taiger, and the latter is being held back by other individuals to prevent the situation from escalating further.
