Sports commentator Renier González reappeared in his role as an analyst on a program of Cuban Television, after the leaked audio that led to him being put on "leave" until opinions calmed down.

It was the sports portal Swing Completo that confirmed the information, stating that González was seen on a sports program dedicated to the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

There, he dedicated a space to the statistical analysis of everything that had happened so far in the competition. A tournament in which Cuba is doing very well, thus fighting for its qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the only team sport from the island that still has possibilities of achieving it," mentioned the mentioned media in its publication.

Less than a month ago, a leaked audio on social media revealed Renier González's opinion on fans and Cuban baseball players.

Here people seem to be afraid of the fans. What? Fans know a freaking lot about baseball! They attack the weakest side. The Series is crap! The players are worse than the referees!, he is heard saying in the recording shared by Swing Completo site.

In a burst of honesty, the sports commentator railed against virtually everything in today's Cuban baseball, expressing his opinions directly and even hurtfully towards players and fans.

The first measure was that the renowned commentator did not record the usual program Bola Viva, where he is an analyst alongside Carlos Hernández Luján, who serves as the host.

It was Luján himself who tried to clarify the comments about the situation a bit. "For all those who ask about our friend and colleague Renier González, he still doesn't feel personally ready to start working. He is resting at home. There is no second interpretation," he said during a broadcast of the Bola Viva program.

Former colleagues of González sent him advice regarding this event. Among them, the journalist Julita Osendi.

"I wish all the best to my longtime partner, he is a great professional. Take care of your tongue, talk to the wall, don't trust anyone. Because the one who sent you the video doesn't care about you, nor anyone in the group...", she pointed out.

In addition to Julita, many Cubans on social media have supported Renier, whom they consider a serious professional with great knowledge of sports.
