Julita Osendi advises Renier González after controversy over leaked audio: "Watch your tongue, don't trust anyone"

Julita pointed out that Renier made his statements in a WhatsApp group and that he jumped in and made a mistake. "It seems like they passed the bill."

The Cuban journalist Julia Osendi spoke about the controversy created after some comments by sports narrator Renier González about the National Baseball Series were leaked.

In statements to specialized journalist Yasel Porto, Julita referred to the measure taken by the ICRT to exclude her former partner from the television program Live Ball that aired on Wednesday, due to the impact that the audio with his voice has caused.

"I prefer that they take it out of Live Ball for a while, but don't let him be removed from the Olympic Games. Because it is a true fact that life in the Olympic Games is Renier González. AND I don't think the punishment will go that far," she said.

"He was wrong, but the person who leaked that audio is a very dirty person"he added.

At the end of April, an audio leaked on the networks revealed the commentator's opinion on Cuban fans and baseball players, following a episode of violence that occurred in the National Baseball Series in a game between Cienfuegos and Camagüey.

"Amateurs know a ball! They catch her on the weaker side. The Series is shit! "The players are badder than the referees!" Renier exclaimed then.

Julita recalled that her former colleague's statements were made in a closed WhatsApp group and that he, due to his open nature, "launched himself" and made a mistake. "And it seems that they passed the bill."

In the journalist's opinion, not all opinions can be said, either out of ethics, or out of respect, or because it is known that they cannot be revealed.

"Maybe he received a sanction.", he commented.

"I wish the best to my partner of almost a lifetime, he is a great professional. Daddy, watch your tongue, talk to the wall, don't trust anyone. Because the one who sent you the video doesn't even love you, nor to no one in the group...", he pointed out.

Many Cubans on social networks have supported Renier, whom they consider a serious professional with great knowledge of the sport.

This week, the sports journalist Yasel Porto, on his page on Facebook DPorto Sports LLC, revealed that González did not record the Bola Viva program "as part of the decision to keep it off the air for several days", due to "how hot everything has been with the issue of the controversial audio that was leaked with his voice" .

Furthermore, he added that a close colleague assured him that the leaked audio is fake, and that this is "the criterion that is being used at certain levels of the ICRT and the UPEC (Union of Journalists of Cuba)."

Finally, Porto announced that Renier will be part of the team of narrators and journalists who will travel to the Paris Olympics in the summer, although he stressed that this information is unofficial.
