The historic car brand Volga launched its new line of vehicles at the Digital Industry fair in Russia.
This reactivation, which will take place in Nizhny Novgorod, a city located in western Russia, will begin production in the summer of 2024, with the goal of completing a full production cycle in 2025.
The first model of Volga, the GAZ-21, stood out for its durability and prestige since its launch in the 1950s.
These vehicles were created in the Soviet Union. Many Volgas circulated on the roads of Cuba offering transportation services as taxis and were also used as government cars.
The production of Volga automobiles was halted in 2010 due to financial problems. Recently, several models of the new generation were unveiled, including the Volga C40, in which the Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, made a public appearance.
These new vehicles are designed to compete in the current market, combining modern technology with the traditional robustness of the brand.
The relaunch of Volga opens up the possibility of these cars returning to the Cuban streets, where they were highly appreciated for their powerful engine and the resistance of their body.
The renewed production in Nizhny Novgorod puts Volga in a position to regain its place in the automotive market. The Russian government ensures that they will be a reliable and modern option for drivers.
