A Cuban woman stars in a unique version of The Little Mermaid: "In this island surrounded by water, you can't even find salt."

"I was walking around the Mariel thermoelectric plant and sneaked in there. They wanted to put me to clean pipes!" said the woman in her Cuban version of the classic The Little Mermaid.

A woman performed a Cuban version of the classic "The Little Mermaid," causing a sensation on social media due to the unique text of her monologue.

A user on Instagram (un_martitodurako8_live_oficial) shared a video showing a mature woman sitting on a wall with a cardboard tail, in a humorous monologue that combines humor and social criticism of the Cuban reality.

Under the sea, there's no need to work, because on this island surrounded by water, you won't even find salt," is the way the video starts, putting a twist on the classic "The Little Mermaid."

Next, an equally charming and creative monologue.

"I was walking around the Mariel thermoelectric plant and I sneaked in there," the person says.

"They wanted to put me to clean pipes!" pointed out the woman, referring to the recent statements by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, about the cleaning of around 22,000 pipes at the Lidio Ramón Pérez de Felton Thermoelectric Power Plant, which sparked viral reactions and mockery among the citizens.

"And that pin... I didn't finish the word because I come from a kingdom," he said in the video.

"Besides, there was a phrase that caught my attention," the woman pointed out. "Lower your denture, are you walking around here toothless?" she said, making a pun with a double meaning.

Recently, another Cuban woman also succeeded with another version of The Little Mermaid in times of blackout.

The young Karoline Hernández (@your_loli_blue), 19 years old, faced the situation of power outages in Cuba with a lot of humor and came up with a version of the animated song talking about what is happening throughout the island, causing more than one laugh among her followers.

In her Instagram profile, this talented Cuban has sung a cappella the song she composed with the melody of the fictional character Ariel's song, and the result is enchanting on Instagram, where she has earned applause.

"What do you see around you? The whole country in a blackout, it makes me think that I need to emigrate. The air conditioner is broken and I can't stand this heat. Do you want trouble? I have plenty. But I really want to emigrate and be able to go discover everything I never knew. I want to emigrate and get away from here," sings Karoline.

What do you think?
