They open a line for Bucanero beer barrel packaging.

The new line, along with another one that already existed, will have a production capacity of up to 470 thousand hectoliters (about five million cases of beer), which can be produced by 2025.

Bucanero S.A., a brewery in Holguín, inaugurated a line for packaging barrels that will allow for increased production and commercialization of the brand in the tourism sector, gastronomy, and non-state management forms.

The new line, along with another one that already existed, will be able to produce up to 470,000 hectoliters annually (about five million beer cases), which could be produced next year.

The investment, the largest in the last two decades at the factory, was allocated to barrels with a capacity of 30 liters.

Erick Williams Abreu, general director of Bucanero S.A., explained to ACN that the consumer experience will improve, as they will be able to offer several brands simultaneously such as Cristal, Cristal Extra, and Bucanero in restaurants, bars, and hotels, where double tap and tabletop dispensers will be used.

At the same time, investments are being made in glassware, refrigeration equipment, trays, and dispensers, with the installation of 1,800 of these types of equipment planned for 2025, of which 863 will be allocated to the tourism sector.

The executive did not refer to whether these improvements will result in a price decrease, as national beer is scarce in the country and is sold even more expensively than imported ones.

Bucaneros S.A. showcases in its portfolio the beers Cacique, Mayabe, Cristal, Bucanero, and the Bucanero malt, as well as premium products like Bucanero Max, Cristal Extra, and the Perla Negra malt.
