The announcement of the sale of a mansion in Havana last Friday, for the not insignificant sum of 220,000 dollars, has caused a stir on social media, garnering over 1,500 comments in a few days.
“There are only 12 mansions in Havana City, and this is one of them,” pointed out Zabdiel Guerrero García in the Facebook group Buy and Sell Cheap Houses in Havana.
The announcement specifies that the "majestic" mansion, located in La Víbora, built in 1930 and recently renovated, has two floors and 800 square meters of area within the property.
The residence has seven bedrooms and four luxury bathrooms, as well as a foyer, a main living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a pantry room with countertop and sink, and a large porch.
In addition, it boasts three terraces: one in the front and two in the back, as well as a patio with another kitchen, laundry area, and services, three entrances, a closed garage for two cars, and parking for four cars or even more.
The mansion also has a large garden area with pergolas around a main staircase, and the house is completely enclosed with a perimeter wall and a fence.
According to the announcement, the residence features hot water, Wi-Fi, landline phone, natural gas, and "some things" are included.
Although not specified, the shared photos show a six-seat wooden dining set, a bedroom set, and some shelves in the kitchen.
Finally, it has updated construction permits that allow for the building of a ranch or other type of addition.
"The price is 220,000 USD negotiable," indicated the post, generating a large number of reactions and comments.
Many of them agree that, with that amount of money, any person can emigrate from Cuba and in another country can buy a house and a car.
Recently, the sale of an apartment in El Vedado, one of the most sought-after areas in Havana, sparked numerous reactions and comments, as the property was valued at 120,000 USD.
This property is located on a high floor of a building in good condition, close to emblematic sites such as the FOCSA building and the intersection of Linea and L streets.
The Vedado y Más real estate agency has repeatedly presented properties valued at over 100,000 USD as good opportunities.
