A Cuban in the USA advises newcomers: "Don't come here and immediately start racking up debt in this country."

Many users on the internet applauded his recommendations.

A recent video on TikTok posted by the Cuban user @i.am.ivey has caught the attention of many with its advice on how to manage finances upon arriving in the United States.

In his words, Ivey warns about the dangers of getting into debt quickly upon settling in the country and makes a series of recommendations, based on his experience and what he would not do again if he were to enter the country, such as not buying a financed car or moving into an apartment immediately. Instead, he suggests opting for more economical alternatives like transportation or an efficiency that includes basic services.

According to their experience, these decisions can help newcomers save money and avoid financial stress.

The video has generated different reactions among his followers: "I still remember my beginnings, at a Car Wash, living in an efficiency and dressing from Goodwill, that's why now I live the high life"; "You come with some ideas and then other people come to take them away from you, you have to be determined. Thank you for your wisdom"; "That's what I did and I used to live and die in the mechanic shop, I wasted my life," some commented.

Many users also showed their agreement with Ivey's advice: "Excellent tips, that's right"; "Completely agree"; "Wise words, 100%," others stated.

These reactions reflect the resonance that Ivey's advice has had among many who have gone through similar experiences upon arriving in the United States.

And what do you think? Would you recommend the same to newcomers or would your advice be different?

What do you think?
