Another day of falling prices for dollars and euros in the informal market in Cuba.

Ten-peso drops in both currencies reflect the volatility of the informal currency market and the population's uncertainty in the face of the government's paralysis and its inability to take control of the economy and monetary policy.

The informal currency market in Cuba reinforced its downward trend in exchange rates on Friday, registering a new drop in the price of the euro and the dollar.

At 7:00 a.m. on June 14th, the US dollar (USD) falls by 10 Cuban pesos (CUP) compared to the previous day's exchange rate, and stands at 350 CUP.

The European currency also experienced a similar drop, falling from 380 CUP the previous day to 370 CUP on Friday.

The freely convertible currency (MLC) did not undergo any changes and maintains its value at 300 Cuban pesos.

Despite a beginning of the week marked by a Monday session in which none of the three currencies rose or fell, the last 72 hours have seen a strong downward movement.

That decline came after five days of a rapid increase in which euros, dollars, and MLC almost recovered values similar to those before the drop in May.

The volatility of the Cuban informal currency market in recent weeks has once again confirmed the drift of the Cuban economy, as well as the uncertainty of the citizens regarding the possible direction of events and the increasing gap in their pockets that this implies.
