A feeling towards my land: Leoni Torres pays tribute to his country with the release of "Cubano."

The song was accompanied by a music video featuring alternating images of Cuba, the streets of Havana and the Malecón, and Miami with its Ermita de la Caridad del Cobre and the iconic Calle 8.

Leoni Torres is releasing "Cubano" on June 17th, a song that pays tribute to his roots, to the country that saw him born and grow as an artist.

The theme came accompanied by a music video in which images of Cuba, the streets of Havana, and the Malecón, as well as Miami with its Ermita de la Caridad del Cobre and the emblematic Calle 8, that city just ninety miles from the island that has welcomed as many Cubans as Leonid itself.

"Cuban, a feeling towards my land. I am very excited to present to you my latest single, a tribute to my homeland, Cuba. I want to celebrate the cultural richness and essence of our island, highlighting the roots and traditions that define us," the singer shared in the description of the music video on his YouTube channel.

According to the artist, the song, released under his record label, Torres Productions, "is imbued with the rhythms and sounds characteristic of our beloved Cuba. With this song, I want to express my pride and love for our land."

In addition to the references to his country and its traditions in the images and lyrics of the song, Leoni mentions his native San Cruz del Sur and proudly celebrates being from Camagüey.

Here we share with you the lyrics and video of this song that conveys Cuban culture:

Cuban

The voice of love has arrived.

The sun of my old Havana.

The sound of the drum.

I am Cuban music.

I come from a beautiful island,

with a sincere heart.

I represent my flag.

with a guayabera and hat.

I no longer enjoy wearing guayaberas.

Celia Cruz, Benny Moré,

Willy, they are already coming.

How beautifully you sing.

I am the Havana tobacco and the aroma of coffee.

I come from the poverty of the humblest people.

I represent the beauty of the Pearl of the Caribbean.

I am an angel who writes music with feeling.

Even though I don't live in my homeland, I am one hundred percent Cuban.

Cry of love and sorrow, the land where I was born.

And if they ask about me, I have the same feeling.

I would like to be a bridge from one shore to the other shore,

So that all of Cuba can come

and may he return, he who never forgets.

I am Cuba.

I am Cuban.

I am Cuban.

From Santa Cruz del Sur!

Camagüeyan.

What do you think?
