The story of Yeiko, the dog who moved animal lovers after being the victim of a brutal machete attack, has added a new page of inspiration by showing himself without the Elizabethan collar he was wearing around his neck, demonstrating once again his incredible recovery.
The ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a photograph on Facebook this Wednesday showing the remarkable recovery of the dog, who appears completely standing, active, and without the recovery cone placed around his neck after his surgery last May.
Beautiful my boy, today he took off the Elizabethan collar for a little while and his owner sent this photo. Yeiko looks cute, doesn't he? He is a darling.
This image reveals the deep joy that animal advocates in the province of Sancti Spíritus feel with each step forward in Yeiko's recovery.
The publication was widely celebrated by animal rights activists, who praised Yeiko's impressive recovery. They also highlighted the tireless work of the rescuers who saved his life and the unconditional love he receives from his family.
Recently, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a reel on Facebook in which Yeiko can be seen barking at the street. This image is further proof of his remarkable recovery, especially significant considering that the dog lost an eye after the brutal attack.
In the video, it can be seen that the dog leans out of the doorway and barks at something that catches its attention on the street. In the background, a female voice can be heard saying, "Where are you going? He's just noisy."
In recent days, another touching story was shared on social media when an animal protector from the province of Villa Clara asked for help last Sunday on social networks for a dog that suffered a spinal fracture.
"You deserve all the beauty in this world, my Milagros," stated Daime Pérez Ramírez in the Facebook group Animal Protective Society in Cuba, while asking for help with diapers, Desitin cream, wet wipes, and any contribution for the recovery of the puppy.
