Do you take work home?: Police chase ends on the porch of a Miami-Dade officer

A Miami-Dade police officer was surprised at work at his own home when a police chase ended on his porch.

A Miami-Dade police officer experienced firsthand the saying "the job follows you" while resting at home.

The incident occurred when the officer went out to take out the trash and a noise made him stop to see what was happening on his street. Surprisingly, a police chase ended on his porch.

The pursued vehicle, after a frantic race through the streets of Miami, lost control and crashed into the stop sign and then into the patrol car of the officer that was parked in front of his house.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The moment was captured on video and posted on the Instagram page Only in Dade, where you can see the outcome of the pursuit, although the date it occurred and the location are not specified.

The pursuit had started several miles back when the agents attempted to stop the driver, allegedly for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested on the spot and could face multiple charges, including evading the police and property damage.

This incident highlights the unexpected and sometimes ironic nature of police work, which can even surprise officers when they are off duty.
