A resident of Hialeah who was driving on the Palmetto Expressway was surprised to see that her father's truck, which had been stolen from him, was passing right beside her.
The curious event happened on June 3rd. Upon seeing the vehicle, the 22-year-old woman could not believe it, but instantly knew what she had to do: she was determined to return it to her dad.
According to what he told Local 10, he first called his father and he told him to notify the police.
The girl, who was in her car with a friend, followed the truck for quite some time, from 20 to 30 minutes. There was a moment when she feared that the thieves might have realized they were being followed.
"He made a very awkward turn and then we had to make that very awkward turn behind him," detailed, without revealing his identity.
They finally arrived in northeast Miami-Dade, where the Police was already present.
A video recorded by the girl shows several agents pointing their weapons at the stolen vehicle. In response, the suspects fled.
Minutes later, two men were captured. In the video, one of them is seen handcuffed and walking alongside an officer.
According to the girl, when her father found out how everything had ended, he simply said with pride: "You are a badass."
