A Cuban talks about his life before emigrating: "Eating meat once a week was a luxury."

The young man and his family chose to risk their lives by crossing the Amazon, instead of continuing to live in Cuba and endure daily hardships.

A Cuban, currently residing in Paraguay, explained on social media that he emigrated from his native country due to the severe scarcity it was facing, where even eating meat once a week was considered a real luxury.

In Cuba, we used to go hungry, and eating meat once a week was already a reason to be the happiest man on earth," pointed out the young man identified as Harche Vlog on TikTok.

The Cuban man recounted that during his childhood in the Caribbean nation, he did not know many basic foods, such as sodas, and he didn't even know what a market was in its true sense. Since he moved to Paraguay, he has discovered not only these products, but also the international gastronomic richness that was previously inaccessible to him.

In addition to the scarcity he faced in Cuba, he was also subjected to gruesome pressure during the two years he spent in mandatory military service.

"They subjected us to psychological abuse and taught us a couple of shady things," the young man said, describing the unsettling experiences he went through during that period.

Recounting his escape from Cuba, the young man shared that he and his family risked their lives crossing the Amazon.

"We slept in the Amazon, we crossed rivers," he commented, referring to the many hardships they faced during their dangerous journey.

The TikToker, Harche Vlog, recently shared on his social media the experience of trying his first meal at McDonald's, describing it as "the most capitalist and American thing I have ever done in my life."

It was a very distant dream to be able to carry out this type of actions, which are very much frowned upon in my country," he confessed on TikTok that he always saw McDonald's and other international food brands in the movies he watched in Cuba.

Paraguay's gastronomy has also captivated the young man, who expressed on TikTok: "God, how easy it is to make a Cuban happy!", in a video where he is seen trying various dishes.
