The Cuban Juana María Curbelo Santana, 64 years old, has been missing since last Saturday, when she was last seen in the Mantilla neighborhood in Havana; and her family is asking for help to find her.

The woman has white skin, green eyes, and gray hair, and she is 1.50 meters tall. Additionally, she does not have teeth and has a scar on her abdomen.

Curbelo "suffers from schizophrenia and is not taking the prescribed medication," the note added.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a yellow sweater, orange pants, and light gray sneakers.

The woman lives in the Santos Suárez neighborhood, in the 10 de Octubre municipality, and did not have a cell phone with her.

The family reported his disappearance to the police, which was recorded under number 44251_2024, YoSíTeCreo stated in Cuba.

Anyone with information about Curbelo's whereabouts can contact his family at the telephone numbers 7641 6165 and 53315331.

Many Cuban families turn to social media to seek help in finding missing persons. In recent times, these requests have become very common amidst a context of social insecurity due to the increase in crime in the country.

In Cuba, there is no state channel to make these cases visible, nor does the official press publish them. In its usual rhetoric, oblivious to the realities of Cubans, the Castro regime denies the existence of disappeared persons in the country.
