A Cuban hairdresser has sparked a debate on TikTok after claiming that Cuban women living on the island have better hair than those living in the United States. This assertion is echoed by hundreds of women in the comments of the video posted by Maite (@salonmaite).
"I have hundreds of comments that coincide. In the United States, they have worse hair than when they lived in Cuba. There, they used any brand of shampoo and when they come here, they start using expensive brands and still have horrible hair. In Cuba, they use one-dollar shampoo and have beautiful hair, and here even the weather favors you and despite that, their hair is ruined. I know that water influences; but I want you to tell me if the same thing is happening to you," this Cuban said in a TikTok video that has gone viral and has prompted a myriad of comments from women who are experiencing the same thing.
"I totally agree with you. I do believe that water may have 80% to do with the change in hair," "You are absolutely right," "I thought it was just me. I always used all the Garnier products in Cuba and I always had long and beautiful hair. Here, I use the same products and it's nothing like how it used to be," "I have the same experience, and I know friends who experience the same thing," or "I have the same issue. You are absolutely right," are some of the hundreds of comments that can be read alongside Maite's video.
