SUV crashes into a house in Hialeah.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car before crashing into the house.

An SUV crashed into a house in Hialeah just as two elderly people were inside, fortunately without either of them being injured.

The incident occurred on Thursday in the 100 block of 9th Avenue Southeast, shortly after 11:00 am.

At the time of the impact, the homeowner, a 97-year-old woman named Juanita, was not near the entrance, but in the kitchen preparing lunch.

"I thought something had exploded," he told América TeVe.

The firefighters reported that the city's Construction Department will evaluate the structure of the house to determine if it is safe.

Another resident, who was not at home, revealed that the driver crashed into her husband's car that was parked outside.

Hialeah Police did not reveal his identity, but said he is 35 years old. He also emerged unharmed from the crash. The cause of the incident is that he lost control of the vehicle.

A witness stated that cars in the area often drive at high speeds, "they think it's a highway," Denis lamented.

Finally, the authorities declared the elderly woman's house as unsafe.

"I feel as if I have been evicted from my home, at 97 years old," she emphasized anxiously.
