Driver seriously injured after crashing into a pole in Santiago de Cuba.

The young man was quickly assisted by people in the area and was transported in a private car to the polyclinic.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured on Monday night after crashing into a pole in Songo-La Maya, Santiago de Cuba.

The driver was identified as David Lesyan Rodríguez Diez, 32 years old, who crashed into the structure located in front of the textile factory in the municipality.

According to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada's report on Facebook, the young man was quickly helped by people who had gathered at the scene and was placed in a car that took him to the local polyclinic.

From there, he was transferred by ambulance to the Provincial Hospital Saturnino Lora, as in Songo La Maya there is no service for attending to serious injuries.

Presumably, the young man was drinking alcohol, because they say he was at a birthday party, a version that has not been able to be confirmed," he clarified.
