The Cuban influencer Lina Hernández, 70 years old and known for criticizing the regime with her humorous videos full of wit, bid farewell last Thursday to a micro landfill that enjoyed "popular recognition" in her community: "They took it away, but along with it, the oil and sugar also went away."
"We all remember the huge garbage dump that received recognition," said Hernández on Instagram, while showing a smaller garbage container that had been placed in the same spot where there used to be a large-scale dumpsite."
We also have a dilemma: giant trash can vs. oil and sugar. You have the floor," pointed out the woman denouncing, in a humorous way, the scarcity and delay in the delivery of products rationed by the supply booklet.
The 70-year-old influencer chose to dress in military attire, wearing the distinctive green uniform of the Cuban army, to make her humorous denouncement. She used the slang and characteristic language of the official party to give a satirical touch to her message.
Last April, also wearing the same disguise, Hernández posted a video where she was "giving recognition" to a small dump that, according to her, enjoyed prestige in the community.
"To this pothole (leak) and this dumpster, due to the years of belonging to our community, we have decided to give them recognition. I have spoken," Hernandez expressed in a short clip where he showed and denounced the consequences of the regime's inaction, evident in the deterioration of the neighborhood's environmental quality in Havana.
Recently, Hernández herself starred in a unique version of the children's tale The Little Mermaid, but this time she placed the character in the Mariel power plant.
Under the sea you don't have to work, because on this island surrounded by water you won't even find salt," is how the video begins, a rendition of the classic The Little Mermaid.
