Major league pitcher Aroldis Chapman, considered one of the best relievers in history, showed nerves of steel and selected his ideal all-time Cuba team, a challenge always tricky.

In response to the Batboysbaseball page on the Instagram social network, the left-handed pitcher did not shy away from the challenge and selected a player for each position, although his favorite pitchers were left pending.

Thus, the flamethrower from the Pittsburgh Pirates placed Ariel Pestano behind the plate, Orestes Kindelán at first base, Antonio Pacheco at second, Omar Linares at the "hot corner," and Germán Mesa at shortstop.

For the garden area, the monarch of the last World Series of Major League Baseball (MLB), with the Texas Rangers, opted for Víctor Mesa in center field, Frederich Cepeda in left field, and - here he seemed somewhat uncertain - Osmany Urrutia in right field.

The most striking thing about Chapman's selection is that none of those players have played in the MLB, something that could undoubtedly generate some controversy among fans of the sport of baseball.

As an additional piece of information, it is worth mentioning that only the veteran Cepeda remains active, and he continues to put up impressive numbers in the baseball tournaments of the largest of the Antilles.

Supported by the power of his left arm, Chapman touched glory once again last Saturday by becoming the left-handed reliever with the most strikeouts in Major League history.

At 36 years old, the Holguín-born player retired Travis d'Arnaud and pinch-hitter Sean Murphy with strikeouts in the ninth inning, although the Pirates fell 1-2 to the Atlanta Braves in 10 innings.

In this way, he surpassed Billy Wagner's mark of 1,196 and continues to prove himself worthy of being inducted into the Cooperstown Hall of Fame when he decides to end his career.
