A Cuban from Miami has gone viral on TikTok with a video sharing his impressions about the Greek island of Santorini.
In the video, we can see this man barefoot walking down a long staircase during one of the famous sunsets on the island. However, it is his narrative and lexicon that have turned this video into a viral phenomenon among Cubans.
"They want to laugh, look at how glamorous it is. Barefoot, going down all the steps of Santorini with glamour... I walk barefoot," says the TikTok user @mcoomarito, who can't help but compare this part of the world to Miami. "The more I travel, the more I love the one from Cuba to Miami, the capital of the world," he says.
The video becomes even funnier when the man points out that he is walking back to quickly reach the cruise ship so as not to miss it, and barefoot because he did not choose the right footwear: "Everyone on foot because we missed the boat. If they are going to kick me out, let them kick me out through CiberCuba. Throughout Santorini barefoot because the Hermès flip-flop can't handle all these slippery rocks, so tell the owner of Hermès not to sell it for a higher price and to make a better sole for it, because this sole is not up for this."
The expectations that the Cuban had with this destination do not correspond to the reality he has experienced: "Going down Moa hill. Look at this, I'm not coming back here, I like tourism with glamour and shine, don't bring me here with a mule or a horse. I went to Havana because I can't stand the countryside."
"Who told you I have a farm to ride a mule on?" he says at another moment in the video.
Santorini are two old stones with two houses painted white. Don't fall like I have fallen. I'm never coming back. This is the scam of the babalao," concludes this Cuban.
This video has generated a great number of reactions and comments on TikTok, where the video is causing a sensation with its experiences on this trip.
"The best tourist guide in all of Santorini is Cuban!!!" "He described Santorini in a Cuban way" or "I can't stop laughing" are some of the comments that can be read alongside the viral video.
