A Cuban woman is in serious condition at the Provincial Hospital Saturnino Lora after being stabbed by her partner last Saturday.

The victim -whose identity has not been disclosed- underwent emergency surgery after being stabbed, which affected their kidney and colon, as reported by journalist Yosmany Mayeta.

However, in the last few hours, sources familiar with the case have requested help, as they report that the woman's physical condition has worsened.

The girl's wound is infected, and since last night she has been short of breath. There is no oxygen tank, and even if one appears, there is no manometer. The family is desperate. The girl feels so unwell that she is saying her goodbyes, she says she is going to die," a witness detailed.

The same person pointed out that the nurses "say there are no resources".

"They put a portable oxygen tank on her that doesn't even work, this cries in front of God's eyes," complained the source in statements to the mentioned communicator.

Yosmany Mayeta Labrada called on the PCC secretary, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, and the health authorities of the province to take action and not let a young woman die, who also had the misfortune of being the victim of attempted femicide.

The young woman's health hangs by a thread. If God has left her alive, you, the 'lifeguards,' cannot let her die due to your inefficiency, your poor work, because there are resources for the bosses," the journalist wrote.

The complaint about the poor healthcare is compounded by the accusation that the aggressor is at large after paying a bail of 5,000 pesos.

"It is unfair that their wrongdoer is out on the streets as if nothing happened, as if the person who stabbed was just any animal, attacking with no consequences. A woman's life cannot be worth 5,000 Cuban pesos. Who are you to put a price on women's lives?" questioned the journalist.

In a more recent post, this Wednesday, the reporter informed that the young woman's condition has worsened.

The wound seems to be infected because they left "remnants" after emergency surgery.

From the hospital, a witness specified that they are planning to take her back to the operating room and that her condition is delicate.

Until the closing of this report, there are no other confirmed details about the case.
