Eduardo Antonio couldn't help but get emotional upon hearing a message sent by his mother Olguita from Placetas (Cuba) for Tony Benítez's television show, where the host was interviewing the Divo de Placetas.
During the show, the Cuban singer was asked about his mother. "She is a lady, a woman with character, delicate but strong," Eduardo Antonio said about his mother, who was then surprised with an audio.
"Eduardo Antonio, my son. I give you my blessing to be the cloak that protects you from all evil eyes, from the envious, from those lacking talent who want to overshadow your story, forty years in which you have always been a winner," his mother said in the audio. Words that made it inevitable for Eduardo Antonio to get emotional.
"This message, among the many that he has given me on television, will go down in history because it shows the mother who says 'water, do not touch my son,'" said the Divo, holding back tears of emotion.
The reality is that I am an artist who has been giving my best for forty years, believing and loving what I do, and that alone deserves respect," added the performer of "Pa los envidiosos," who is one of the most beloved Cuban artists by the public.
