The Business Group Correos de Cuba warned its clients about a scam attempt through an SMS that directs them to a fake website requesting payment for shipping-related charges.

The false message that should set off the alarm is the following:

Email: Your package has arrived at the warehouse, but it cannot be delivered due to an incomplete address. Please update your shipping information to facilitate delivery. Reshipping costs will be at your expense. Click on the following link to make changes: https://correoii.cc/i

Respond to 1, then exit the SMS, open the SMS activation link again, or copy the link to the Safari browser and open it. Correct it quickly within 12 hours to avoid unnecessary losses, Post Office!

Correo de Cuba warned that if recipients receive a similar message, they should not be deceived, as it is an attempt at scam.

The Business Group requested that those who wish to obtain additional information about business management and the services of Correos de Cuba can contact them through the website https://www.correos.cu, where they have a section for comments and online responses.

The state entity did not provide any further details regarding the scam it warned about, nor did it specify how many people may have been deceived through that channel up to now.
