They lament the death of a well-known Cuban doctor in Paraguay.

The community of the Paraguayan city of Arroyito, in the department of Concepción, deeply mourns the death this Wednesday of the Cuban doctor Jorge Luis Gómez Fernández.

Known in the area as the "Cuban Doctor", the physician "was suffering from an illness and was undergoing treatment," reported the local media outlet Concepción Informativo on the social network Facebook.

His condition led him to exhale his last breath, but the doctor from the island managed to touch the hearts of patients, friends, and family members, as demonstrated by the reactions and comments upon hearing the news of his death.

"Excellent doctor, thanks to him I still have my dad with me," wrote the internet user identified as Mari Balbuena, highlighting his exemplary professional performance and extending her condolences to his loved ones.

Similarly, colleagues and friends expressed their sorrow for the death of the Cuban, who "had been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital of Concepción for several days," according to local residents.
