A strange green liquid falls from the ceiling at Miami Airport.

The strange liquid sparked the curiosity of the airport terminal users.

On Thursday morning, the fall of a strange green liquid was reported in one of the waiting rooms of the Miami International Airport.

From the Only in Dade Dade Instagram account, a video is shown where a mysterious fluorescent green liquid is seen leaking, causing alarm among the travelers passing through the facility this 4th of July holiday.

The passengers who recorded the moment and posted it on social media said that the spilled liquid looked like Nickelodeon slime.

However, airport officials clarified that what was running through the hallways was just water.

In the comments section of the mentioned video, the Miami Airport clarified that "teams were sent immediately to investigate, and cleaning efforts are underway, expected to be completed shortly."

Likewise, they thanked the passengers of Lounge G for their patience and understanding.

Local 10 News provided more details after interviewing spokesperson Greg Chin, who said that the water "comes from the air conditioning system and is dyed green so that any leaks, like the one that occurred Thursday morning caused by a broken pipe, can be traced back to its source."

During the last holiday weekend that took place in the United States last May, Miami International Airport set a record for the highest number of passengers screened in a single day, with over 2.9 million people passing through its checkpoints due to the Memorial Day commemorations.

A few days ago, the facility once again became the scene of crowds and chaos to pick up luggage, causing frustration among passengers.

The lines due to delays in baggage delivery have generated criticism and negative comments on social media.
