The renowned Cuban singer Aymée Nuviola shared an emotional video on her Instagram account this Thursday, July 4th, to celebrate the Independence Day of the United States. In the video, she expressed her gratitude and honor for the country that has been her home for so many years.
Hello my darlings, how are you? I am celebrating today is July 4th, Independence Day of the United States of America," she says at the beginning of her video shared on the network.
The artist continued to highlight the importance of this date: "How could we not celebrate a day like today in this great country, the country of opportunities, of freedom and democracy, that has opened the door for so many Latinos and especially for us, Cubans, who have managed to enter this country and also become American citizens." She also shared her pride and gratitude: "It is a great privilege, it is a great honor for me. This is my 20th celebration of this significant day here on American soil."
In his message, Nuviola also made a call for reflection and prayer: "May we not forget in our prayers to ask God to care, protect, preserve, and prosper this great nation. Congratulations to you all. God bless America."
He also took the opportunity to highlight the importance of this date for the Latino and Cuban community, to which the United States has provided so many opportunities and freedoms. Additionally, he invited everyone to include in their prayers a petition for the prosperity and protection of the country.
When sharing the video on his wall, he added a special invitation to his followers to join the July 4th celebrations with family: "Happy 4th of July to all my divine ones. Today we will be celebrating with family at Bayfront Park and everyone is invited to join us for family fun, watch the fireworks, and participate in games and competitions. Many artists will be performing on the Bayfront Park stage today to celebrate the Independence Day of this great country. God Bless America!"
In August 2023, in an interview granted for this media outlet, the award-winning singer expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the opportunities she has received in the United States and confessed to feeling blessed by the awards she has received such as the Grammys, the Key to the City, and other accolades.
There has been a lot of struggle, we still do, but the United States has given me great opportunities, great blessings without me having given anything in return. Yes, I can tell you that I have worked with many nonprofit, charitable organizations, we make contributions, but in my beginnings, the only thing I did was receive from this great country that only gave me moral, economic, health, and educational support," he said on that occasion.
