On the afternoon of Saturday, July 6, the influencer and presenter Chiky Bombom was involved in a serious car accident as she was returning home after a day at the beach with her son Cartier. From the hospital, the Dominican shared details of the incident through her social media, expressing that the accident almost cost her life.
It was the Dominican presenter herself who shared the chilling images of how her car ended up after the impact. "I'm alive by chance," she said while showing the wreckage of her car on the highway. "God is everything, thank you Lord, thank you Father," she continued saying, still surprised by what happened.
Chiky Bombom, who co-hosts the Today Show on Telemundo, explained from the hospital that she was still coming to terms with what happened. "They are going to do tests on us because life hurts. I have a cut arm, they treated it a little. My chest hurts a lot. The child's back hurts a lot, their chest hurts. I feel like I lack the air to speak," said the influencer.
"My car flipped over, I tried at all times to maintain control and calm because I was with the child. Thank God the Lord covered us. The car flipped many times, I tried to veer it to the shoulder and ended up hitting the wall. The tires burst, all the airbags deployed," detailed Chiky Bombom.
After the impact, Chiky remembered thinking that she was dead. "I didn't know if I was alive, all I touched was the child. The child told me, 'Mom, you're bleeding,' and I would say to him, 'It doesn't matter, but are you okay?' The shock was so great that I lost track of time, and Cartier was the one who spoke to the police and explained everything," she confessed.
Fortunately, both she and her son did not suffer serious injuries beyond some superficial bruises and did not require major medical interventions, although their vehicle was completely destroyed. "The car was declared a total loss, nothing can be done with it," she concluded.
Chiky Bombom's followers and fans of her show have been sending her messages of support and love at this time. Messages that we join from CiberCuba. Speedy recovery!
