A Cuban from Miami was arrested for stealing from cars in the condominium where he lived.
The events took place between July 5th and 9th, mostly in a complex located in the 9600 block of Southwest 138th Avenue in the city, where neighbors reported several robberies in their cars.
The suspect's name is Yaslán Cordero Teste and he is 24 years old.
The reports show that the man was taking any kind of object. One man reported that when he left his house he found his car completely looted, although only a medical bag valued at 100 dollars was missing. To another resident, the Cuban man took the airbags, and to an elderly woman, he opened her vehicle and threw all her belongings on the ground.
According to the arrest warrant obtained by America TeVe, Cordero Teste stole brand-name glasses, wallets, cell phone chargers, and other valuable items.
The security cameras showed a man entering the condominium in a stolen car. Police investigation points to the fact that it was the Cuban man, who had allegedly robbed a house in Miami previously, from where he took the car that he later used to steal in the condominium.
After being arrested, he appeared on Friday in the criminal court of Miami-Dade County, where he was charged with five counts: petty and grand theft, burglary, car theft, and drug possession.
Judge Mindy S. Glazer set bail for each of the charges and ordered him to stay away from the places where he robbed.
Yaslán has his residence established in Kissimmee, in central Florida.
