The Cuban actress Maikel Amelia is visiting Gandía, a municipality in Valencia, Spain, with her family, and although she has not yet stated that she intends to permanently leave Cuba, the truth is that she traveled to the Iberian country without a return ticket to the island.
During an interview with the host Abel Álvarez for his YouTube show "Abel en cualquier parte," this was one of the topics that came up in the conversation.
When the driver asked Maikel Amelia how long she will be in Spain, she replied, "I haven't decided yet. I don't have a return ticket yet, I will tell you later."
The artist confessed that she is enjoying this trip, not only because it is her first time in Spain, but also because she is with her family, many of whom have been living in that country for years.
With the great exodus of Cuban artists in recent years, looking for new job opportunities and a better future outside the Greater Antilles, it would not be surprising if Maikel Amelia also decided to stay outside of Cuba.
However, if true, it will be another great loss for Cuban television, as with their participation in the police drama "Tras La Huella" and the various roles they have played in soap operas, they have earned the affection of the audience.
In the last few weeks, three other Cuban actors, Reinier Hernández, Oscar Ibarra, and Niu Ventura, left the island for the United States.
