Animal welfare defenders in Cuba are mobilizing once again through social media to find the owners of a female dog that boarded a bus in the town of San Antonio de Río Blanco, belonging to the municipality of Jaruco, in the province of Mayabeque, and ended up in San José de las Lajas, the provincial capital.
Yenney Caballero alerted about this situation on Facebook, pointing out that the puppy is "very well cared for, has that little chain on, the girl in the photo has her sheltered in her home."
The activist asked for help to find her family, but clarified that she "only surrenders to the true owners."
Recently, Cuban Yanari Pérez, resident of the Playa municipality in Havana, offered a reward to whoever found and returned her lost dog, missing for four days.
Perez and his family's despair has grown over time, especially due to the emotional impact that the absence of their pet has had on their young son.
Please, my little dog is missing. If anyone sees her, please let me know, she answers to Linda. My child is going crazy," begged through a message shared on Facebook.
A Cuban woman went through a similar ordeal after her pet, a Chihuahua dog named Milan, went missing.
Yahima Tamayo Cuello shared photos of her little dog on her Facebook profile and asked for empathy from anyone who finds him in order to be able to recover the animal.
"I don't care if I have to pay, I just ask for a little empathy, and whoever sees it, has it, finds it, gives it back to me, it doesn't matter, not the money, nothing," he pleaded in a desperate call.
