The Republican candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in November, Donald Trump (president from 2017 to 2021), will host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida, the campaign reported on Tuesday.

In the statement, Trump expressed that "during my first term, we had peace and stability in the region, we even signed the historic Abraham Accords. And we will have it again," reported the EFE news agency.

"As I have mentioned in conversations with President Zelenski and other world leaders in recent weeks, my peace agenda through strength will demonstrate to the world that these horrible and deadly wars and violent conflicts must end. Millions are dying, and Kamala Harris is not at all capable of stopping it," he added.

Netanyahu arrived in Washington on Monday, after being invited by the congressional leaders, Republican Mike Johnson and Democrat Chuck Schumer, to give a speech before the legislature on Wednesday.

During his stay in the capital, he also plans to meet on Thursday with U.S. President Joe Biden, who recently announced that he will deliver a speech to the nation from the Oval Office of the White House, in which he will address his recent resignation from the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

Additionally, Netanyahu will meet separately at the White House with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is seen as a likely Democratic candidate for the upcoming presidential elections.

During Trump's presidency, Netanyahu enjoyed a very productive relationship, achieving significant advancements such as the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and the restoration of diplomatic relations with several Arab countries.
